About the Casa Romantica

The Casa Romantica, better known as the Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens, was constructed 90 years ago in San Clemente, and has been operating as a Cultural Center and Gardens since 2012. The building was first established as the home of Ole Hanson, who was the founder of San Clemente. The architecture of the building reflects a Spanish Colonial Revival style, and it has been told that Ole Hanson designed the building to reflect his idea of the American Dream. Today, the Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens operates as a historical landmark, cultural arts center, and a popular venue for weddings.

Weddings at the Casa Romantica are renowned for displaying the full beauty of the Cultural Center. The design of the building is unique in its beauty, and the site offers a breathtaking view of the coastline. Located adjacent to the Parque del Mar, the Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Friday through Sunday. General admission into the Casa Romantica is $5, and all persons under the age of 12 are admitted for free. Admission is also free for persons of all ages on the first Sunday of every month.

To reach the hotel from this venue, simply head southeast on Avenida Del Granada towards Avenida Del Mar. This will lead to 1-5 S, and take exit 73 onto Avenida Del Presidente. Continue on this road before making a right on S El Camino Real. Following this, the destination should be on your left.
